I have been asked by hundreds of readers (well, one actually, and he wasn’t exactly a reader) what the image is at the top of the blog. It is a detail from a picture of the lake and folly at Bowood House and Gardens in Wiltshire, England that I took on 5th June 2005 while on a day trip with the family. I took quite a few pictures, and I will add a few more of them to the blog over the next few weeks. In fact, I may start a separate section on the site to display some of my best photographs — it might make the blog a bit more interesting…
